Bitcoin (BTC) Key joins Google Keyboard on ios
It's still pretty unclear and mysterious that why Google chose to add a Bitcoin key on ios devices but still not on their native Android devices. But whatsoever Google keyboard on ios finally got the key support for the most known and famous cryptocurrency, The Bitcoin.
According to Wikipedia:
The bitcoin key introduced by Google Keyboard (Gboard) on the ios devices is the visual avatar of the popular cryptocurrency, the Bitcoin, which got engraved on a key .. on a button in the Gboard, which when used, shall represent a reference to the Bitcoin.
If you're an ios user, you first need to make sure you're running the latest version of Google keyboard.
The native ios keyboard doesn't support any cryptocurrency key till now so you won't find any bitcoin key on your default keyboard on ios.
If you want to use this functionality, you need to download the Gboard for ios by Google. You can download the Gboard from here.
After making sure you're running the latest version of Gboard, you can press and hold the dollar symbol for a while to access the Bitcoin key functionality.
Google, in the last Gboard update on ios devices, introduced the Bitcoin engraved key, which represents the Bitcoin cryptocurrency and is accessible by pressing and holding the dollar key for a while.
